Wax Melting Lab Ovens
Wax Ovens for Histology and Industrial Applications
Often referred to as ‘wax ovens’ these cabinets are widely used in histology departments in hospitals, industry and universities. Because they will get messy with the wax they are kept basic, having coated steel chambers with adjustable shelves and a dial temperature control system. A dial overheat safety cut out is always included. A drip tray is supplied to try to minimise any mess.
Remember that paraffin wax melts at around 70°C and the flash point is 148°C. The overheat safety must always be set correctly.
Some industrial waxes and greases melt at higher temperatures up to 135°C and have correspondingly higher flash points. Please contact us if you require a cabinet for this application.
